| The Ampere Hilux 700C is the crossbar-framed counterpart to the popular Deluxe, designed for riders who prefer a traditional diamond frame. It shares the same proven drivetrain and motor platform but with a slightly larger 19-inch frame that suits riders from 5'5" to 6'2". The Hilux is built around a lightweight 6061 aluminium frame with internally routed cables and an integrated battery, giving it a clean, modern appearance that does not scream "electric bike" from across the car park. At approximately 22kg, it handles well and feels composed at speed - important when you are threading through Bristol traffic or cruising along the cycle path beside the river. The 250W motor with 65Nm of torque provides smooth, natural-feeling assistance that responds well to your pedalling input. Climbing Park Street or the hills around Ashton Court is noticeably less taxing, but the bike still rewards genuine pedalling effort rather than doing all the work for you. With the 14Ah battery fitted, expect up to 55 miles of range on a charge - easily enough for most commuters to ride all week before needing to recharge. The component specification mirrors the Deluxe range: Shimano MT-200 hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors front and rear, Shimano Altus 7-speed gearing, and a Suntour NEX suspension fork with lockout. Puncture-resistant 700x45C tyres provide a good balance of comfort and rolling efficiency on varied surfaces. Like the Deluxe, the Hilux comes equipped with integrated rear turning indicators, a 100 LUX front light powered from the main battery, a colour TFT display with USB port, rear pannier rack, full metal mudguards and a kickstand. It is a genuinely commute-ready electric bike straight out of the box. The Hilux is available in Molton Red and Stone Blue - both distinctive, attractive colours that look great on the road.
