Looking for a Frog bike in Bristol? Here is the honest situation. Frog Bikes went into administration in early 2026 and was bought by Mike Ashley's Frasers Group, the owner of Sports Direct and Evans Cycles. As a result, independent shops like us can no longer get Frog stock, so we are not able to sell you a new Frog apart from the stock we already have.

Frog earned its reputation on lightweight, properly-sized kids' bikes. These three brands do exactly the same job, and we build, fit and support all of them from our Bristol shops.

Can I still buy a Frog bike in Bristol?

Not from us, and not from most independent bike shops. The good news is we stock excellent lightweight alternatives from Squish, woom and Ridgeback, and we will help you find the right one.

What happened to Frog Bikes?

Frog Bikes entered administration in early 2026 after a difficult few years, and was then bought out of administration by Mike Ashley's Frasers Group, which also owns Sports Direct and Evans Cycles. The brand still exists, but it is no longer supplied to independent shops like ours.

What is the best alternative to a Frog bike?

Squish is the most direct swap, a British lightweight kids' brand very much in the Frog mould, at a similar price. For the lightest possible bike, woom is superb, and Ridgeback is a great British option if you want quality for less.
