Whether you’ve got a new bike arriving in a box, a frame you want to build up, or an older bike that deserves better parts - our workshop can help. We build, upgrade and spec bikes for riders of all kinds, and we do it properly.
Bike-in-a-box setup - £80
Bought a bike online? It’ll probably arrive in a box with instructions that make it look easy: add pedals, attach handlebars, off you go. In reality, there’s a lot more to getting a new bike properly set up.
For £80 we’ll fully assemble your bike from the box, check the hubs are running smoothly, set up gears and brakes properly, use the right grease on the right parts (it matters more than you’d think), and give everything a final safety check before you ride. A badly assembled bike isn’t just annoying - it can be unsafe. We see a lot of online-bought bikes come through the workshop with cross-threaded pedals, poorly adjusted brakes and headsets that haven’t been tightened properly. It’s worth getting it done right.

Frame-up builds
You supply the frame (or we help you find one), and we build it up to your spec.
Part transfers
Moving a groupset, wheels or components from one frame to another.
Groupset upgrades
Swapping to a better drivetrain, whether mechanical or electronic.
Part sourcing
We have access to a wide range of suppliers and can track down most parts. If it exists, we can probably get it.
Custom build costs vary depending on the scope of the work. We charge £60 per hour for workshop time, and we’ll always agree a price with you before we start. The best way to begin is to tell us what you’re looking to do and we’ll give you an honest steer on what it’ll cost and whether it’s worth it.

Yes - the same £80 setup applies. It’s just as important to get a child’s bike properly assembled and adjusted. We stock Frog, Squish, Hoy and Woom kids’ bikes, all built and ready to ride in-store.
